Dwolla is an e-commerce company that provides an online payment system launched in 2010, which allows clients to make payments or send money remotely.  Based out of Des Moines Iowa, Dwolla has well over 500,000 users and is often chosen over sites like “Pay-Pal”, due to its alternative payment system.  This system is also how the site generates income.  Unlike “Pay-Pal”, Dwolla is free of charge for all transactions under 10.00 dollars, and charges .25 cents for any transaction over $10.00.  This is desirable as it reduces site fees for sellers that want to send/accept multiple transactions.
